Use of Wikipedia

Following Larry Sanger's comments in response to the Education Secretary's suggested use of Wikipedia as a reference source, we do not endorse use of Wikipedia as a reliable source of information about the Knights Templar.  Mr Sanger originally co-founded Wikipedia with James Wales in 2001. Mr Sanger has now left the Wiki Foundation to start a new more-academically reliable online facility.

His official statement is reproduced below in its original form:
"I’m afraid that Mr Johnson does not realise the many problems afflicting Wikipedia, from serious management problems, to an often dysfunctional community, to frequently unreliable content, and to a whole series of scandals. While Wikipedia is still quite useful and an amazing phenomenon, I have come to the view that it is also broken beyond repair."

In view of Mr Sanger's view of his own former creation, and a considerable number of inaccuracies in relation to Knights Templar articles posted within, we neither endorse the articles nor will engage in any correspondence about them.
